Three‑volt lithium batteries are used with most LiftMaster Security+ 2.0 remote controls. There are two possible battery models, either the CR2016 or the CR2032.
Some older residential remote controls used 12‑volt batteries, but more often, they are used with remotes for commercial door openers.
Nine‑volt batteries are used by exterior keypads and some remote controls other than those of LiftMaster, Chamberlain or Mastercraft.
